Harworth pupils explore housebuilding with Harron Homes

Pupils from St Patrick’s Primary School in Harworth recently gained a hands-on introduction to housebuilding during an educational visit to our Simpson Park development in Harworth and Bircotes, Doncaster. Organised by Harworth Group, which is leading the wider regeneration of the Simpson Park site, the visit gave pupils the opportunity to explore different aspects of creating a new community through a series of activities hosted by Harron Homes and Vistry Homes. Harron Homes hat-trick: Housebuilder celebrates triple Pride in the Job win

Three of our site managers have been recognised among the best in UK housebuilding after each winning an NHBC Pride in the Job 2026 Quality Award. Paul Jezusek at De Maulay Manor in New Rossington, Steve Jones at Nevison’s Fold in Barnsley, and Wayne Schofield at Sandlands Park in Hucknall, have all received the award in recognition of the consistent standards being delivered across their developments. Harron Homes scarecrow joins Wetwang festival fun

Last month we joined residents and visitors in celebrating one of Wetwang’s best-loved village traditions, the Wetwang Scarecrow Festival, held near our Chariot’s Keep development. We joined in the fun with a scarecrow of our own at Chariot’s Keep, creating a site manager character to mark the occasion, while also donating towards one of the competition prizes. Harron Homes team helps raise more than £1,600 for Phoenix Heroes

A team supported by Harron Homes North Midlands has helped raise more than £1,600 for veterans’ charity Phoenix Heroes CIC, after accompanying amputee strongman Darren Greenfield on a courageous ascent of Ben Nevis. The former World’s Strongest Disabled Man Darren completed Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK at 1,345 metres. He was supported by former Special Forces soldier and television personality Billy Billingham, three-time World Champion angler Rob Hughes, PenPod Overland Trailers owner Ian Pennington, and our own Operations Engineer Daniel Hoole. A Harron Homes employee is supporting a Guinness World Record attempt for the fastest Three Peaks completion by an amputee. Funds raised are being donated to Phoenix Heroes CIC, our Charity of the Year.
