“We chose the development because of its location,” said Mark. “Both of us were brought up in Kellington village and my mother lives round the corner, so we were keen to move back to the area. This is where we wanted to be.
“We had been looking at second hand homes but we passed this development regularly and decided to call in and look around. We liked what we saw and Harron gave us a very good part exchange offer for our old three-bedroom semi in Askern, Doncaster. We were very happy to go ahead with the deal and everything went fine.
“We love the location and the house style. The room sizes are a lot bigger than some of the other new builds we looked at and the specification is higher. The quality is fantastic and because we bought off-plan we were able to pick the full kitchen – colours, worktops and handles – all standard and at no extra cost.
“The children love it, there’s a bigger back garden for them to play in and the local school is just a short walk away. Casey-May was already going there and Callum has been accepted as a pupil too.”
He added: “This is the first new build home we have lived in. We know that houses today are much more energy-efficient than older properties, which was another reason for buying new. It’s going to be much cheaper to run – you can feel it holds the heat in better than our old place.”
The family bought their new home off-plan and watched their four-bedroom ‘Nidderdale’ style home being built.
