Harron Homes helps community group to commemorate Queen’s 90th birthday

The bench, located in the churchyard, was unveiled by the Friends of St John’s group on July 6th. The church is a short distance from Harron’s Mulberry Manor development on Calverley Lane, and the donation is part of the homebuilder’s commitment to supporting the local community.

Malcolm Haist, secretary of the Friends of St John’s, said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Harron Homes for their contribution to installing this bench, which will commemorate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, head of the Church of England.

“Donations are so important to the Friends of St John’s because they allow us have a real presence in the village and the community at large, supporting things that would be impossible without that financial input. ”
