Harron Homes has welcomed A-Level students from The Joseph Whitaker in Rainworth to its development in Edwinstowe as part of the students’ course field trip. As part of their studies, 23 geography students and accompanying teachers were given a guided tour around the Thoresby Vale development. The tour was led by staff from Harron Homes, including David Mills - Site Manager, Niall Gibson - Assistant Site Manager and Paul Walters – Sales Manager. Harron Homes highlights road safety with hi-vis donation

A donation of hi-vis vests from Harron Homes is helping students at St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Matlock, close to Harron’s Foresters View development, stay safe in October, Walk to School month. The initiative is designed to keeps kids moving and consider the amount of air pollution and carbon emissions created daily, and the donation of 78 vests will make sure the year four, five, and six students are seen on their daily travels. Getting pretty in pink for breast cancer

We dressed up on Wear it Pink day on 22nd October to fundraise for Breast Cancer Now. Harron colleagues from our head offices in Barlborough and Leeds and across the developments swapped their standard uniform for pink clothing, with the site teams at Highfield Manor in Fixby and Brierley Heath in Skegby donning neon hats and hi-vis vests and even tutus for the cause! Harron thanks construction charity for mental health day

Recognising the increasing importance of mental health in the workplace and in honour of World Mental Health Day on 10th October, we have invested in mental health support across the business. We’ve donated £250 to Lighthouse, the construction industry charity, as a thank you for its invaluable mental health resources, and invested internally too. We teamed up across our head offices in Leeds and Chesterfield to host coffee mornings to support Macmillan on Friday 24th September. Colleagues across the region brought their best bakes to work to partake in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning through selling cakes and competing in a companywide bake-off. Together we raised £241.85, enough to help run Macmillan’s Online Community forum for about 10 hours, offering people affected by cancer both emotional and practical support.
