Harron Homes has welcomed A-Level students from The Joseph Whitaker in Rainworth to its development in Edwinstowe as part of the students’ course field trip. As part of their studies, 23 geography students and accompanying teachers were given a guided tour around the Thoresby Vale development.
The tour was led by staff from Harron Homes, including David Mills – Site Manager, Niall Gibson – Assistant Site Manager and Paul Walters – Sales Manager. The tour involved taking students through both completed and upcoming phases of the development, which meant donning hi-vis vests and hard hats as they explored brand new houses being built.
The students will have learned a lot from the experience, and I’ve already had a few students expressing their interest in getting into the housebuilding industry since!
The students were also brandishing clip boards and pens as they gathered information on the development, working with their teachers to evaluate and appraise what they saw.

“The students will have learned a lot from the experience, and I’ve already had a few students expressing their interest in getting into the housebuilding industry since!”
