Derbyshire music festival raises £40,000 for local cancer charity

For the third consecutive year, we have sponsored the Old Goats Grumble festival in Denby, Derbyshire, right by our charming development, Shipley Lakeside. With the help of our £3,000 contribution, the festival raised £40,000 for cancer charity Lauren’s Legacy, improving on last year’s whopping £36,000 at yet another sold-out event. A day on the farm: cute animals pay Huddersfield homes a visit

Harron Homes welcomed a bustling mobile farm to its Fixby development, Victoria Heights last weekend, 19th August. The mobile farm brought along a number of friendly animals who were eager to meet customers visiting Victoria Heights. In the mix were guinea pigs, rabbits, a tortoise, pygmy goats, sheep, a donkey, and alpacas. Ian’s Farm is a small family run farm, home to hundreds of well cared for animals. Harron Homes recently welcomed local MP Alexander Stafford to its Throapham development, Laughton Gate where the community gathered to celebrate the summer and unveil a community noticeboard supplied by Harron. The newly installed community noticeboard will enable residents to stay up to date with what is going at the development and in the local area. Harron Homes makes donation to a Howden school Wildlife Area

Harron Homes has made a donation for an upcycling project to Howden Junior School in Howden, near the development York Vale Gardens. The donation provided materials that have been re-purposed and decorated by the schools gardening club. The materials were used to form a structure within the forest school area they are developing that will also include gentle sounds, smells and feelings. Charity football match scores thousands for Rotherham Hospice

Harron Homes Yorkshire has donated £300 to a charity football match raising funds for Rotherham Hospice. The match took place at the Marra Falcons Stadium in Armthorpe close to Harron’s newly launched Nevison’s Fold development in Barnsley. The charity football match raised £2,500 in memory of Paul Carragher, 46, who passed away in May and was a close friend of Harron Homes’ site manager Lee Morris who manages Armthorpe Welfare FC.
