One motorsport fan got the chance of a lifetime to do a passenger lap at Silverstone with racing car driver, Max Coates.
Ahead of the 2018 Clio Cup season, Harron Homes partnered with Max to run a competition in which the winner got a chance to take part in the media day and do a passenger lap with Max in his brand-new car.
The winner, Daniel Brown from Warwickshire, was over the moon with the opportunity to meet Max and experience the famous race track first-hand. Dan has always been a motorsport fan – his dad took him to watch his first Clio Cup round when he was 13 years old! He has been following Max’s former team, Ciceley, since the outset and thus learned more about Max.
Dan was delighted to take part in the media day and get to see the media side of things. He loved the new design of the livery, and couldn’t believe his luck when he was told he would be the first one to test the car with Max.
Max commented:
“The car is absolutely brand new – it was the first time it’s turned a wheel and it was great that Dan, a true enthusiast of the sport, got a chance to experience it with me.”
Dan added:
“I would like to thank Harron Homes for this opportunity. It was a dream come true and I am still a bit shocked at how amazing the whole experience has been.
“I loved the passenger lap, and even though Max will face some tough competition this season, I believe he’s got what it takes to win the Cup this year!”
