Harron Homes Limited and Harron Group Limited

Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the Financial Year Ending 31 December 2026

This statement is made on behalf of Harron Homes Limited and Harron Group Limited pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 ("the Act") and constitutes our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.

1. Background

Harron Homes Ltd ("the Company") is a family-owned housebuilding company founded in 1992. It is based at a Head Office in Leeds, with branch offices also in Leeds and Chesterfield. The company has around 250 employees and has several new housing developments underway at various locations across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire.

Harron Homes Ltd fully supports the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to ensuring that the company is compliant with all statutory requirements affecting our direct employees and our wider supply chain.

We value our staff and maintain high expectations of them. In return, we aim to provide a safe, supportive, and rewarding environment in which they can develop and reach their full potential.

2. Our Policy

The company maintains an active Policy on the Prevention of Slavery and Human Trafficking, which encompasses the following core elements:

  • Human Resources vetting: Dedicated HR processes to identify warning signs of modern slavery and human trafficking within the workforce, including thorough vetting procedures for all existing and prospective employees.
  • Workforce communication: Clear communication channels to ensure all Harron Homes employees recognise the warning signs of modern slavery and feel empowered to report any suspicions directly to senior management.
  • Supply chain commitment: Upholding our standards across our supply chain by requiring suppliers and sub-contractors to confirm compliance with our Code of Conduct, and verifying that they actively monitor their own operations both in the UK and overseas.

3. Implementation and Oversight

A dedicated working party, chaired by the Company Secretary and including the Regional Managing Directors, is responsible for maintaining the policy and ensuring its ongoing enforcement throughout the organisation.

The following practical measures remain actively implemented:

  • Pre-employment checks: All prospective employees are thoroughly vetted prior to commencing work to identify any potential risk factors or indicators of exploitation.
  • Induction training: Induction training for new starters includes dedicated guidance on identifying modern slavery risks and details the formal reporting processes employees must follow if they suspect an issue.
  • Employee Handbook: Our Employee Handbook, provided to all staff members, includes a specific section detailing our obligations and employee responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Supply chain compliance: Our Code of Conduct is strictly applied across our supply chain. New suppliers and sub-contractors must confirm prior to any order placement that they have robust policies in place complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Additionally, key existing suppliers and sub-contractors are audited on a rolling basis to verify evidence of compliance.

4. Annual Review

This statement is reviewed and approved annually by the Board of Directors.
