Harron Homes sales executive Olivia Thompson has recently been promoted to sales progressor at the North Midlands head office in Barlborough after just three months at the company.
Olivia joined the sales team at Rosendale Gardens in Wickersley, Rotherham as a part time sales executive in October 2021; by the end of that month she started assisting the office based sales progressor and picked up the role so quickly she was the obvious choice for promotion when the opportunity arose in December.
Olivia was encouraged to apply to Harron when a friend spotted a job advert and knew she would be a perfect fit. Having previously been a sales executive at another housebuilder, she came with plenty of industry experience.
“I’d not long had my little boy, Jack, at that point so the part-time aspect of Harron’s sales executive role really appealed, and once I saw how stunning the houses were I couldn’t resist!
“I’ve always been keen to progress in my career so jumped at the chance to learn new skills in the sales progressor position, but never imagined it would lead to promotion this quickly! I feel so honoured that the directors recognised my effort and enthusiasm to offer me this new role. It’s been brilliant learning more about the legal parts of the buying process; I’m now liaising with solicitors and dealing with contracts which is all very exciting.
“Even more importantly to me, the whole team has been nothing but supportive of my role as a mother too. I was able to stay part-time, and my team is incredible at looking after everything when I’m not in the office. I’m so thankful to them and can’t imagine working anywhere else now!”
