As work progresses at Victoria Heights, Harron Homes’ newest development in Fixby, Felicity Stevens, Director at Haus Interiors, shares some insight on what visitors can expect from the luxury showhome opening soon.

Felicity says, “As a designer, our role is to reflect the quality of the Harron brand in the details of the home, evoking all senses to inspire and excite. With such a beautifully spacious home, perfect for growing families, the goal is to create a luxurious environment which is also practical and attainable.
“This starts from the kitchen; the marble table and dark blue units bring a modern twist on a classic while illustrating how a bolder kitchen can be toned down. With the amount of rooms downstairs, there’s plenty of space for entertaining. The kitchen accommodates a dining table easily, so we opted to dress the connecting dining space as a cosy family room and make the lounge a more formal space. Details like the bespoke TV unit, mood lighting, and ceiling to floor curtains elevate the luxury in the room.
“Similar touches have the same effect in other rooms – for example large bespoke headboards and tall lamps in the bedroom. Making the rooms flow goes a long way to making the house look more cohesive and thought out. The décor’s consistent throughout but with plenty of interesting pieces to grab visitors’ attention. One of my favourites is the metallic gold wallpaper in the guest bedroom, it’s a bold choice but really works when paired with the right furnishings.
“We created an air of sophistication in all five bedrooms; while bedroom four hints towards a teenage girl, the muted grey palette and abstract flowing shapes keep it far from cliché and makes it easier for visitors to visualise their own needs.
“The Dunstanburgh benefits from a dedicated office, and we focused on making that a really light space, lovely to work in.
“With the development set in such a beautiful area, we wanted the showhome, which showcases Harron’s new contemporary design, to be just as welcoming while providing inspiration to those who might struggle with the blank slate a new home offers.”
