Now the Christmas decorations are down, there’s no better time to freshen up your home. Abbie Lockett, Design Sales Consultant at inter experts Designer Contracts, shares how she created that enviable new home look at Harron’s Foresters View showhomes in Crich.

Here are Abbie’s tips to recreate the look:
- A neutral and soft colour scheme – Using pale tones like creams and champagne always conveys luxury and creates a timeless pallete to work from.
- Coordinate your finishes – Champagne tones with elements of silver work well to complement the chrome and glass finishes in the home. We also used aspects of light woods to neutralise the schemes to make them softer.
- Add some texture – We used a lot of luxurious velvets for headboards, cushions and texture fabrics for blinds.
- Statement accessories – the gentle colour scheme allows pieces like large feature pendants, chairs, mirrors and artwork to stand out, without being tacky.
Foresters View consists of 58 stunning four and five-bedroom homes, in a stunning location on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales.
