Housebuilder Harron Homes has recently promoted experienced employee James Lacey to Trainee Assistant Site Manager Shipley Lakeside in Heanor, Nottinghamshire.
James Lacey, 36, from Ecclesfield, sought out a new challenge to oversee site operations and brings over 15 years of industry experience to the team at Shipley Lakeside.
He said, “I initially worked on my family’s farm progressing into the housing industry from there. I’ve held a variety of roles since then, ranging from site supervisor on other developments to my most recent role as a driver. Throughout my career, though, I’ve sustained a keen interest in how the building process works, liked asking questions, and have always wanted to put my stamp on quality buildings.”
James’ new role gives him more responsibility spurring on his enthusiasm for building customers forever homes.
He continued, “I take great pride in seeing a site go from its early stages as a simple plot of land to an entirely new community. Completion day is always one I look forward to, knowing I’ve worked hard to provide a high quality finish. Handing over new homes to happy customers and helping them with any queries is a truly satisfying job.”
Having previously worked for other housebuilders and at Harron’s Sandlands Park development in Hucknall, James brings a team spirit to his new role.
He concluded, “Being an active part of the team that oversees the daily management of the site is great. Harron has been very supportive of me right from when I first joined as a forklift driver. I can’t thank my director, Lee Kilby, enough for providing this opportunity.
