A team of youth footballers based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, have scored an exciting sponsorship deal with Harron Homes.

The luxury housebuilder has recently sponsored Mansfield Hosiery Mills FC’s under 12s side for their 2017/2018 season.

The sponsorship deal covers the cost of shiny new kits in the team’s traditional blue and yellow colours and a Harron Homes advertising board at both the club’s ground and along the boundary at the adjacent cricket club.

“The side has been together for the last four years now, since the boys were eight,” explains Craig Ford, the team’s manager.

“We’ve come a long way since then, last year finishing runners-up in the league, and it’s more or less always been the same group of players.

“With us, there are two teams: the kids and the parents. The parents are really unique and make sure that they don’t push the players too hard to the point that it’s not enjoyable for them, while the kids are equally great and always go out and give it their all.

“The boys absolutely loved the new team kits when they first saw them and because they’ll be used for away games, it really helps to get Harron’s name out there.”

Having been promoted to division six of the Young Elizabethan League last year, the team are hoping that the new sponsorship deal will give them a boost during their matches.

Craig adds: “I’m really happy about the way we’ve performed this season.

“To receive sponsorship from a company like Harron is absolutely massive for us and I’d like to say a big thank you to them for that.”
