Shireoaks Carnival is a long-standing event that helps to bring the village together, young and old. Every year a small group of volunteers from the community come together to put on the Carnival which consists of a parade, arena entertainment, stalls and fun and games for the whole family.
We donated a picnic hamper to the carnival, which was used as a raffle prize. We also took out an advert in the Carnival Programme, which is sold on the day, in an aim to support the organisers further.
Julie Inman from the Shireoaks Carnival Committee said: “The support from Harron Homes is much appreciated – it is great to see companies present in the area recognising the need to support local causes.
“Their donation and the advert they booked in our programme helped us raise essential funds to continue to put on the Carnival year after year. Without the support of Harron Homes, other local businesses and of course our community we would not be able to run the Carnival in future years.”
We recognise how important this event is to the local community of Shireoaks, giving the residents a chance to come together and spend time in our beautiful village while ensuring the Carnival goes on for years to come.
