On Saturday 21st April we hosted an exclusive ‘meet and greet’ event at our Sandlands Park development in Hucknall, where we invited the local community to meet professional racing car driver, Max Coates.
Max Coates started karting at the age of 8 and has risen through the ranks to race in a number of different series. At age 24, he is currently racing for the second consecutive season in the Renault UK Clio Cup, having finished third in his debut season.
The locals had the chance to meet the Renault UK Clio Cup driver, get an autograph and photo with him as well as learn more about the different mechanics of a real-life race car.
The guests also had the chance to win two tickets to the Dunlop MSA BTCC Race at Donnington Park on the 28th April by taking part in a simulator game to set the quickest lap time of Silverstone’s course.
Racing fanatic Lewis Doyle topped the leader board with a lap time of 1.07.03 and claimed the two tickets.
Max Coates commented, “I really enjoyed my day at Harron Homes Sandlands Park meeting a variety of racing fans. Lewis did a great time on the simulator and I look forward to welcoming him as our guest at Donnington Park this weekend. Not only was he fast, but also very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Clio Cup and the British Touring Car Championship, I’m sure he’ll have a great day.”
Sandlands Park is Harron Homes’ exclusive development of four and five-bedroom properties, located off Lovesey Avenue on the southern edge of the charming town of Hucknall. Visitors were also able to look round the two show homes on site, the Windsor and the Warkworth, and experience their superb quality.
