We are pleased to announce that we have donated £160 to Kirkburton CE First school to help fund a school trip for their students. The donation enabled transportation for all of the school’s children to the Countryside Days venue.

Offering key stage 2 children the opportunity to experience all aspects of food, farming, the countryside, and healthy living, Countryside Days is the perfect location for young students, combining education with enjoyment.

Kirkburton CE First School provides a happy, secure and stimulating environment which enables pupils to develop in a lively, inquiring and creative manner. Offering education of the highest quality, Kirkburton School helps each child to achieve their full potential. The school’s deserving children relished the chance for some extra-curricular engagement at Countryside Days, through the help of Harron Homes.

We recognise the importance of building a relationship within the community. We believe that helping to give the children a chance to visit key institutions in the area benefits their development in a fun and engaging way. We are delighted to be able to support Kirkburton CE First School, and it is great to see smiles on the children’s faces.
Tricia Brooke, Head Teacher at Kirkburton CE First School, commented:
“On behalf of the children, I would like to thank Harron Homes for their kindness in helping to fund the trip. We enjoy working with community partners and we are extremely grateful for this donation which will have a direct and positive impact on the children of our school.
“School funding is currently a very a serious issue and we are keen to supplement our limited budget wherever possible. With the help of Harron Homes’ generosity, we were able to treat the children to an educational and interactive day out, which is something they deserve. Thanks to the Harron Homes team for their interest and support.”
