family unpacking

I had been looking at various developers but none of them matched the quality that I found at Harron Homes. When you go to view a house you are never sure if it will live up to expectations but this time what I saw definitely made the grade. It was great to find something I really liked.

The rooms are so spacious, including the fourth bedroom, which none of the other developments I saw, other than those by Harron Homes, provided.

It was good to see a development of four-bedroom houses that actually lives up to expectations, with the space around them that homes of this size deserve.

The team at Harron Homes were always friendly and helpful though and dealt with any question straight away. It was a good experience and I would definitely consider Harron Homes should I ever wish to move again.

We thought the house designs were lovely and were particularly impressed by the high specification that comes as standard in a Harron home. Another plus-point is that this is a fairly small development and the houses are built in stone, in keeping with the local area. Views of the lovely surrounding countryside are also amazing!

Plus Part Exchange has taken all the stress away, as we didn’t need to sell our current home ourselves. It cut out estate agent fees and we also don’t have to move out until the new one is ready so it just couldn’t be better.

My husband Antony and I first saw the Queensbury Gardens development online and instantly fell in love with the beautiful quality of the homes. We visited the showhome and were so impressed that we reserved straight away.

We used Part Exchange to sell our new home which removed lots of the usual stress you find when moving house. The scheme makes the whole process very quick and easy and we sold our old home in two days!

Our previous property had a small garden and was next to a main road which limited where our six year old son could play. Our new home at Queensbury Gardens is on a spacious corner plot in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac, close to other families that like us have moved here for the good schools and welcoming neighbourhood.

We had been looking for a while and wanted a new home that would not require any upgrading. We had seen other developments, but it was not until we viewed Heatherfields that we found exactly what we wanted.

We loved the style and finish of the house, especially the small touches that make it so much better than other new-builds. A further bonus was the open view that means we are not overlooked.

It was all so much easier than we thought and Harron Homes helped drive the paperwork along for us, keeping us up to date with progress. We were able to find our ideal home and love the fact that we are getting established in a brand new, growing community too.

We looked at a number of sites including a few different Harron Homes developments, but this one really shone through, and coming from my background as a building surveyor I was impressed. It is well laid out with plenty of visitor parking.

We’ve only moved twice before in 37 years of married life so we knew this move would be a big deal, we had to choose somewhere we were happy to stay. This home offers everything we were looking for – if I’d been designing it myself, the end result would not have been too far off.

The fact this is a four-bedroom home means even though it is perfect for our retirement, we can still have family over to stay with us. My wife Julie has turned one of the bedrooms into a study where she can unwind with a book, which is one of her favourite pastimes, so it works really nicely for us. Our grandchildren love it too, they’re always excited to come over, play a bit of football in the garden and stay with us for a day or two.

The Part Exchange scheme tied together the completion of the sale of our previous home with completing the purchase of this one, which was ideal. We’d have had many more headaches with the move if we’d not taken up that option, so it’s definitely something I’d recommend. We got on really well with the sales staff, Jackie and Susan, who were always friendly and personable. All Harron staff we’ve dealt with have been courteous and have always tried their best. I’d recommend Farriers Croft and Harron Homes to anyone in our position, looking to make their next move.

We were looking for our first home together after renting for a couple of years and the Harron Homes development at Manor Farm fitted the bill perfectly.  It’s in the ideal location equi-distant between our places of work and offered Help to Buy which meant we could buy a bigger home than we thought we could afford.

The Harron sales adviser has been brilliant, helping us every step of the way and explaining the process to us, which as first time buyers is obviously all brand new and has been pretty overwhelming at times.  We can’t wait until we move in and finally start putting our mark on our very own property and making a real home together.

We chose Harron Homes because some of our friends who live at this development recommended them to us and they’re fantastic value for money.
Our style of home suits our lifestyle perfectly and is ideal for busy families as it provides us with our own space and has large social areas for us to spend family time together.
The site team and sales staff have gone above and beyond to get us settled in at the development and the aftercare here has been amazing.”

meadowWe had looked at loads of bungalows before we found the one at Meadow View and it’s absolutely perfect! In fact it’s everything we wanted. The layout is ideal; we have a beautiful garden, a driveway with space for two cars and it’s really spacious inside. As soon as we walked in we knew it was the right home for us and by using Part Exchange we ended up moving in just over four weeks. It’s like we’ve lived here forever!

Jason and Michelle Summers“Our Harron sales adviser suggested we take a look at the Settle style home at Heatherfields and that was it. The house sold itself to us the moment we walked in! It is spacious and bright, with a big gallery landing. There are four generous double bedrooms and a large box bay that fills the open plan dining kitchen with light.

“Another bonus is the integral garage leading directly into the utility room. We also have a separate dressing room off our master bedroom, which underlines all the luxury details that come as standard in a Harron home, not as expensive added extras.

“This was the perfect move for us and we really love it here. I can’t wait for the development to be completed, as it will ultimately become a whole community in itself.”

Reece and Emma

Reece and I were thinking about buying our first home together when we had the opportunity to view the showhome at Meadow View. We were really impressed with the quality and high specification of the homes at the development and knew instantly that it was where we wanted to live.

With getting married this year, finishing my degree at university and having a three year old daughter it was fantastic to find a brand new home that we could move straight into in an area that we really like with family close by.

The size and layout of our home is exactly what we were looking for. Our daughter now has her own lovely, big bedroom and we have the space we need for growing our family, as well as room for guests to stay.

When we first listed our previous property for sale, the viewings became quite a hassle, especially trying to keep our house tidy with a three year old running round! But by using the Part Exchange scheme with Harron Homes, suddenly all the stress was taken care of and we could look forward to moving into our new home and to the future.

chris and lindsey mcmahonMy husband Chris and I were so impressed with the quality of the new homes at Amberwood Chase that we bought off plan to ensure that we didn’t miss out.

After getting married in August last year, we wanted a forever home that would accommodate our future plans of starting a family. With four good size bedrooms and a family friendly layout, our new home meets our needs and we can see us living here for a long time.

Chris and I both really like the area and have family and friends living close by, which made the homes here even more attractive. We were impressed with the affordability of the homes, considering the size and specification of the properties available, and by using the Part Exchange scheme we were able to buy our new home quickly and easily.

Mark and Sarah

mark and sarahHomebuyers Mark and Sarah Winter are settling into their new home at The Granary in Eggborough, near Selby, thanks to a part exchange deal from housebuilder Harron Homes.

The couple and their children Casey-May, seven, and Callum, four, were the first to move into the development, where they have bought a brand new four-bedroom home.

“We chose the development because of its location,” said Mark. “Both of us were brought up in Kellington village and my mother lives round the corner, so we were keen to move back to the area. This is where we wanted to be.

“We had been looking at second hand homes but we passed this development regularly and decided to call in and look around. We liked what we saw and Harron gave us a very good part exchange offer for our old three-bedroom semi in Askern, Doncaster. We were very happy to go ahead with the deal and everything went fine.

“We love the location and the house style. The room sizes are a lot bigger than some of the other new builds we looked at and the specification is higher. The quality is fantastic and because we bought off-plan we were able to pick the full kitchen – colours, worktops and handles – all standard and at no extra cost.

“The children love it, there’s a bigger back garden for them to play in and the local school is just a short walk away. Casey-May was already going there and Callum has been accepted as a pupil too.”

He added: “This is the first new build home we have lived in. We know that houses today are much more energy-efficient than older properties, which was another reason for buying new. It’s going to be much cheaper to run – you can feel it holds the heat in better than our old place.”

The family bought their new home off-plan and watched their four-bedroom ‘Nidderdale’ style home being built.

The classically-designed detached house, with integral garage, has everything a modern family home needs without compromising on luxury features.

There is a spacious living room at the front of the house, and an impressive open-plan kitchen and dining area with French doors leading out onto the back garden, ideal for entertaining in the warm summer months. The utility room is accessed from the kitchen and there is a useful downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs are four generously sized bedrooms, including the luxurious master bedroom and en suite shower room. There is also a sleek and modern family bathroom.

Mark added: “The service from Harron has been spot on, both before moving in and afterwards too. We were put at our ease over any queries we had, and the few minor snagging items inside our new home were sorted immediately.

“The personal service we got can only be achieved by a company and team that cares.”

Katie Charlesworth, Sales Director for Harron Homes, said:  “We are delighted to welcome Mark, Sarah and their children into their new home.

“They were the first, but they already have neighbours as other buyers have now moved in and The Granary is set to become a great place to live.

“And as we’re also able to offer a range of buying aids, including part-exchange and Help to Buy, you and your family could get moving in to a brand new home sooner than you think.”

Mark and Sarah Winter, The Granary

My partner Louise and I have always thought that Harron Homes made very high quality, attractive properties and we are extremely happy with our new home at The Granary.

This is the first home that we have bought together and is ideal for our family of four. We are looking forward to expanding our family in the future, safe in the knowledge that we will have plenty of room, thanks to the good size bedrooms and spacious layout.

As a family we like to go for walks and cycle together. Eggborough has plenty of paths and walkways to discover and we enjoy exploring our neighbourhood as a family. We love living in the village, which has everything we need but Louise and I also benefit from the quick commuter links that get us to work or into Leeds for shopping and meeting up with friends.

It was great to discover all the optional extras available when buying our home, such as type and style of tiling in the bathroom that allowed us to customise parts of our new home to our specific taste. The sales team at Harron Homes showed a superb level of customer service, guiding us through the home buying process every step of the way.

We were looking for a forever home and we found it at The Granary.

Steve Walker and Louise Taylor, The Granary

familyWe are more than happy with our home at Lavender Fold. The area has a lovely family orientated feel and I can tell we will be happy here for many years. I have moved in with my partner George and one-year-old daughter Layla. The home itself is finished to a high standard, with gorgeous furnishings throughout. I am so pleased with the space we have here; the garage is a generous size, all of the bedrooms come with fitted wardrobes, and the lounge has double glass doors leading into the kitchen with patio doors. This is one of my favourite rooms.

“From first visiting the Harron Homes office, the staff could not have done more for us. We have had weekly updates, visited the offices ourselves on many occasions where we were made to feel welcome, and since moving in, we have felt assured that they are there if needs be.

“We were moved in to our home within schedule, which made our move quick and easy, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything has gone. We have friends who have also purchased a home on site and they’re just as pleased. I would definitely recommend Harron Homes to anybody looking to secure a home – it has everything we need here.

We were given a time frame of January to March for completion and we were in on time, which was great.

With a new-build home we expected that there would be some snags along the way, and we have felt that up to now they have been responded to appropriately. We have had a friendly welcome to our new home; the stresses and strains of moving have been kept to a minimum by this good communication which has been upheld by the whole team
