Rossington Main FC have unveiled the kit their Academy team will wear for the 2017-18 season, sponsored by local developer Harron Homes.
The club, whose first team competes in the Northern Counties League, was looking for a corporate sponsor to step in and secure the finances of its youth team set-up for another season, giving players from the ages of 16 to 21 an opportunity to hone their skills. The club’s Academy system has produced players who have gone on to play professionally and semi-professionally, including former Doncaster Rovers and Notts County striker Gary Jones.
Harron Homes responded to a request for support sent out by club chairman Carl Stokes. As part of the sponsorship package, Harron Homes’ logo will appear on the Academy team’s kit for the remainder of this season and next, whilst an advertising board will also be in place at the club’s Oxford Street ground in Rossington.

“With the fantastic sponsorship from Harron Homes, the club has been able to guarantee well in advance that next season’s crop of young players will have a team to learn their trade in.
“The sponsorship from Harron Homes enables the club to purchase the Academy team’s playing strip and training kit. It also contributes to the cost of putting their games on, which includes the cost of referees and linespersons, plus general match day expenses for floodlights, showers and players’ post-match food.
“Without Harron Homes it was quite possible the club would not have been able to support our youth team this coming season, therefore we’d like to take this chance to say a massive ‘thank you’”.
